About Us

Flue is a lighting division of do.lab — a production studio based in Istanbul working at the intersection of additive manufacturing, material research, and object design.

We create lighting objects that explore the relationship between mass and glow. Concrete, heat, plastic, texture, and geometry become part of the same system. Every object begins as a study in balance: heavy enough to feel permanent, precise enough to disappear into atmosphere.

Our process combines pigmented concrete casting, parametric modeling, and additive manufacturing. Each piece is produced in small batches and finished by hand in our studio. We believe visible construction matters — seams, layers, surfaces, and joins are not imperfections to hide, but evidence of process.

Rather than designing decorative lamps, we create architectural objects for interiors. Objects that shape space quietly through weight, shadow, and material presence.

The FLUE collection was developed around a simple idea:
small geometric changes can completely alter how light behaves in a room.

Every work evolves from the same underlying geometry through controlled variation. This approach allows the collection to remain coherent while giving each object its own spatial character.

All works are made to order in Istanbul.
